About RIC - Regional Innovation Clusters
Regional Innovation Clusters (RIC) are local concentrations of interconnected companies, academic institutions, specialized suppliers, and service providers that all focus on one specific industry. The clusters can focus on energy, manufacturing, advanced defense technologies, or a variety of other industries. RICs connect small and large businesses by fostering a network of industry partners. They often receive federal funding to provide matchmaking, business training, advising, mentoring, and other services, particularly aimed at regional small businesses.
